Residential:
- Federal Tax credit of 30% with no limit through 2016
- Local utility rebates
Ameren MO (Prop C) - $2 watt, maximum $50,000
Ameren IL - $2.25 watt, maximum $30,000
- Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SREC) purchased by participating utilities
Ameren MO - 2012 $50 per SREC - 1 SREC is equivalent to 1,000 kWh

- MACRS Under the federal Modified Accelerated Cost-Recovery System businesses may recover investments in certain property through depreciation deductions. The federal Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, with amendments, enacted policies rewarding a variety of solar-electric technologies placed in service after September 8, 2010 and before January 1, 2012 qualifies for 100% first-year bonusdepreciation. For 2012, bonus depreciation is still available, but the allowable deduction reverts from 100% to 50% of the eligible basis.
